Data Mining of LI Yun-Ying's Medication Rules in the Treatment of Sniveling Nose
Objective To analyze the medication rules of Professor LI Yun-Ying for the treatment of sniveling nose based on data mining method.Methods The prescriptions for the effective cases of outpatients with sniveling nose treated by Professor LI Yun-Ying were collected,and the frequency analysis,association rule analysis and cluster analysis were carried out by using the relevant software in R language.Results A total of 1 682 Chinese herbal prescriptions were included,involving 173 herbs.The top 30 herbs with the high frequency of use is defined as high-frequency Chinese medicinals,including Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Magnoliae Flos,Saposhnikoviae Radix,Angelicae Dahuricae Radix,Xanthii Fructus,Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma,Paeoniae Radix Alba,Pheretima,Asari Radix et Rhizoma,Tribuli Fructus,Poria,Scutellariae Radix,Codonopsis Radix,Vespae Nidus,Liquidambaris Fructus,etc.The association rule analysis yielded 10 second-order effective association rules,42 third-order effective association rules and 64 fourth-order effective association rules.After cluster analysis,5 herbal groups were obtained.Conclusion For the treatment of sniveling nose,Professor LI Yun-Ying usually utilizes the core drugs of Xanthii Fructus,Magnoliae Flos,Angelicae Dahuricae Radix,Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma,Saposhnikoviae Radix and Paeoniae Radix Alba,and commonly uses the prescriptions of Erchen Decoction,Cang'erzi Powder,Xinyi Powder,Yupingfeng Powder,Sijunzi Decoction,Guizhi Decoction,Tongxie Yaofang.And her principles for the treatment of sniveling nose follow the methods of expelling wind and dissipating pathogens,unblocking the nasal orifices,invigorating the spleen and benefiting the lung.The medication rules of Professor LI Yun-Ying for the treatment of sniveling nose can provide reference for the clinical treatment of sniveling nose with Chinese medicine.
