Study on Grafting the Antibacterial Polymer on the Surface of Graphene Oxide
A method for preparing antibacterial graphite oxide(GO-PSBMA)modified by zwitter-ionic polymer brush was studied.GO(GO-Br)with a large number of bromine initiation sites was prepared by esterification based on the large amount of-OH on the surface of graphene oxide(GO).Methacrylate sulfobetaine(SBMA)was used as the polymerization monomer and polymerized on the surface of GO-Br by surface-initiated atomic transfer radical polymerization(SI-ATRP).GO modified with polymer brush showed 99.99%antibacterial activity against E.coli.A novel polymer modification method for graphene oxide was effectively established, which endows it with excellent antibacterial properties.
