Study on the Interaction between Pb2+,Cd2+and DNA of Hainan Bruguiera gymnorhiza Leaf by Spectroscopic Method
Bruguiear gymnorrhiza is one kind of medicinal mangrove plants with higher commercial value, which also has good protective effect on the ecology of the coastal area.In this study, the interaction of two kinds of heavy metals including Pb2+,Cd2+with the DNA extracted from the leafs of Hainan Bruguiear gymnorrhiza were investigated by using UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopes. The results indicated that the presence of Pb2+,Cd2+had a certain influence on the structure of DNA and the interaction could occur in a groove-binding mode. The thermodynamic parameters showed that it is a sponta-neous reaction between Pb2+and DNA with hydrogen bond and Vander Waals force as the main interaction forces.Howev-er,Cd2+unspontaneously interacted with DNA and hydrophobic force played a main role in the binding process. This re-search can provide some theoretical support for further understanding the mechanism of mangrove plants' tolerance of heavy metal ions.
