Study on the Secondary Metabolites and Antibacterial Activity of Serratia ureilytica
The secondary metabolites of marine bacteria(Serratia ureilytica)were studied systematically, and sixteen com-pounds were isolated by various chromatographic methods and the structures of these compounds were identified by 1D and 2D NMR.The compounds were identified to be cyclo-(L-Trp-L-Ser)(1),cyclo-(Gly-L-Trp)(2),cyclo-(Phe-Gln)(3),cyc-lo-(Leu-Gln)(4),cyclo-(L-tyrosyl-cis-4-hydroxy-D-proline)(5),cyclo-(L-phenylalanine-D-4-hydroxyproline)(6),cyc-lo-(L-4-OH-Pro-L-Phe)(7),cyclo-(L-4-Hyp-L-Leu)(8),cyclo-(L-Pro-L-Tyr)(9),cylco-(D-Pro-L-Tyr)(10),cyclo-(S-Pro-S-Leu)(11),cyclo-(L-Pro-L-Val)(12),cyclo-(Tyr-Gly)(13),cyclo-(R-Phe-S-Ser)(14),cyclo-(L-Phe-Gly)(15),and cyclo-(Gly-Leu)(16)respectively.All the compounds were isolated from the S.ureilytica for the first time. The antibac-terial activity showed that the crude extract had significant antagonistic effect on Ralstonia solanacearum, while,no com-pound showed antibacterial activity against Ralstonia solanacearum and 5 strains of human pathogenic bacteria.
