Analysis of differential genes in gastric cancer and normal tissues and their impact on survival and prognosis based on GEPIA database
Objective:To analyze the differentially expressed genes between normal gastric tissues and gastric cancer and the influence of differentially expressed genes on the survival and prognosis of patients with gastric cancer based on GEPIA data-base.Methods:The top differential genes between normal and gastric cancer tissues were obtained from GEPIA database,and the screened genes were verified on GEPIA website for prognostic analysis.Results:A total of 4 644 differentially expressed genes were identified in GEPIA database.The top 10 genes were PRR11,CLDN7,TPX2,GNL3L,SKA3,ADHFE1,MTDH,CEP55,KIF11,and KIF20B.ADHFE1 gene was negatively correlated with the survival and prognosis of gastric cancer pa-tients,while CEP55 gene was positively correlated with the survival and prognosis of gastric cancer patients.Conclusion:There are differential genes between gastric cancer and normal tissues,and ADHFE1 and CEP55 genes may play an important role in the survival and prognosis of gastric cancer.
