Occurrence of neuroinflammation in Parkinson's disease and immunoregulatory therapy
The pathological nature of Parkinson's disease is selective and progressive death of substantia nigra dopaminergic neurons, but the specific pathogenesis is unknown.Persistent neuroinflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of PD.The main pathological manifestations are activation of a large number of immune cells and release of inflammatory factors, and its neurotoxic effect will aggravate neuronal injury.Immunotherapy intervention can induce neuroprotective environment in the central nervous system, attenuate neuroinflammation, prevent further neurodegeneration of PD and slow down the disease progres-sion to improve clinical symptoms. This article reviews the manifestations and pathogenesis of neuroinflammation in PD,and pro-vides possible ideas for the prevention and treatment of PD from the perspective of neuroimmune regulation.
