The new Research Progress of BioIogicaI Effects and AppIication of Fruc-to OIigosaccharide
Fructo oligosaccharide (FOS) is one kind of dietary-fiber and has prebiotics effects.FOS is stable and can′t be hydrolyzed by gastrointestinal endogenous enzymes .FOS has become one of the important functional food materials for its unique biological effects ,such as the regulation of intestinal flora balance ,improvement of lipid me-tabolism ,promotion the absorption of mineral elements and immunity enhancing and other benefits functions .This ar-ticle introduces briefly the biological effects and application of FOS ,and looks forward the development prospect of FOS.
