Impact of Epidemic Prevention and Control on the Perception of Pharmacy Staff
OBJECTIVE To understand the impact of participating in prevention and control of COVID-19 in-fection on pharmacy staff and explore the value of pharmacy staff in infection prevention and control.METHODS A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the attitude,knowledge,and behavior of pharmacy staff in medi-cal institutions about hospital infection prevention and control.RESULTS A total of 223 participants with the ques-tionnaire survey and the attitude,knowledge,and behavior of pharmacy staff about hospital infection prevention and control significantly improved after the epidemic.Among them,whether or not to participate in epidemic prevention and control supervision had statistically significant difference in hospital infection prevention and control behavior af-ter the epidemic;Whether or not to work or rotate in the fever clinic pharmacy and whether or not to participate in the front-line work of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan,Quanzhou or others had statistically significant differ-ence in hospital infection prevention and control behavior and overall situation of infection prevention and control be-fore and after the epidemic(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The concept of infection prevention and control of phar-macy staff has been enhanced after the epidemic,but there are still shortcomings.Pharmacy staff should be encour-aged to participate in multidisciplinary collaboration of infection prevention and control to cope with potential public health emergencies in the future.
