A Case of Xerostomia Caused by Paclitaxel for Injection(Albumin Binding Type)
A 67 year old female patient with breast cancer received neoadjuvant therapy with the AT regimen(epirubicin:120 mg d1;docetaxel:120 mg d1)for one cycle. However, due to the patient's refusal to take a large a-mount of hormones to prevent allergic reactions to docetaxel, the chemotherapy drug docetaxel was replaced with pa-clitaxel(albumin bound Aiyue)200 mg d1,d8,and 5 cycles of chemotherapy. The patient experiences discomfort with dry mouth on the second day after each infusion of paclitaxel(albumin bound Aiyue). The discomfort can be significantly relieved by drinking appropriate water and using a watering can to spray water into the mouth.Considering that the patient's symptoms of dry mouth may be related to the injection of paclitaxel(albumin binding type).
