OBJECTIVE To develop the student-centered guidance for the undergraduate thesis in pharma-cy.METHODS The students should practice in the tutor's lab for about two terms.After the thesis title is deter-mined,the student would search references,design the experimental protocol,and carry out the experiments.After the research work is completed,the students need to construct a thesis outline,based on which they would write out the dissertation.In the whole process,the role of the tutor is inspiring,guiding and providing help.RESULTS The OBE based direction for undergraduate thesis helps to motivate the personal activity of the pharmaceutical students and im-prove their creativity as well as the ability in solving problems.CONCLUSION It is necessary to keep innovating the modes of thesis guidance and to make the students become the masters of the research projects they are working on.This is also the demand of the new era for culturing the excellent biomedical talents with morality,ideals,technol-ogy and innovation.
