OBJECTIVE This study aims to explore the risks of adolescents abusing dextromethorphan and pro-vide evidence for safeguarding their health.METHODS The characteristics and main reasons for adolescents abu-sing dextromethorphan were analyzed using bibliometrics and case analysis methods.RESULTS The abuse of dex-tromethorphan by adolescents causeed significant harm to their physical and mental health.CONCLUSION This paper proposes five preventive measures against adolescent abuse and calls for collective attention to the healthy de-velopment of adolescents.
