Analysis on the Use of Antibacterial Drugs in Inpatients in a Hospital from 2021 to 2022
OBJECTIVE To analyze the use of antibacterial drugs in our hospital from 2021 to 2022 and the current situation of drug resistance of common bacteria in order to improve the use of antibacterial drugs and promote the rational use of antibacterial drugs in our hospital.METHODS The use data of the inpatients' antibacterial drugs in our hospital from 2021 to 2022 were retrieved through the hospital information system(HIS),and the use rate,use intensity and frequency(DDDs)of the antibacterial drugs were calculated.The results of pre-use antimicro-bial susceptibility testing of inpatients from 2021 to 2022 were retrieved through Yiyao's rational drug use manage-ment system,and the annual susceptibility testing submission rates and test results for each department were calculat-ed.RESULTS Compared with 2021,the utilization rate of antibacterial drugs in 2022 did not change significantly.However,the use intensity of antibacterial drugs and DDDs have increased significantly in most depart-ments.Among the top 10 antibacterial drugs with DDDs,90%of the drugs'DDDs increased.Meanwhile,the pre-use susceptibility testing submission rate of antibacterial drugs decreased.In terms of drug susceptibility testing,except for the unchanged resistance rate of Escherichia coli to commonly used antibacterial drugs,the drug resistance rates of Enterococcus faecalis and Streptococcus agalactiae to commonly used antibacterial drugs all de-creased.CONCLUSION The use of antibacterial drugs in our hospital is basically reasonable.The frequency and intensity of antibacterial use by inpatients in 2022 increased compared with that in 2021,but the rate of pre-use sus-ceptibility testing submission decreased.It is suggested that our hospital should strengthen the monitoring and guid-ance of drug resistance,and enhanced the education and training of antibacterial drug users,so as to promote the ra-tional use of antibacterial drugs and reduce the development of bacterial drug resistance.
