Analysis of Irrational Prescription of Intravenous Infusion for Children in Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Services in a Hospital
OBJECTIVE To anlalyze the irrational prescriptions of intravenous infusion for children,and to pro-vide a reference basis for the rational use of intravenous drugs by pediatrics.METHODS 189637 pediatric intrave-nous infusion prescriptions prescribed from April 2022 to April 2023 were reviewed,and the irrational prescriptions with intervention or feedback records were analyzed.RESULTS A total of 810 unreasonable prescriptions for intra-venous infusion in children were found,accounting for about 0.427%of all intravenous infusion prescriptions.The types of unreasonable prescriptions mainly included inappropriate dosage,inappropriate solvent,inappropriate concen-tration of drug,contraindications to drug compatibility and off-label use,with composition ratios of 36.5%,23.8%,18.0%,12.1%and 6.5%,respectively.From the incidence rate of unreasonable prescription in clinical depart-ment,the top three clinical department were PICU,CICU and hemato-oncology department,accounting for 24.1%,18.0%and 16.8%,respectively.CONCLUSION At present,there are still unreasonable prescription for intrave-nous infusion of children in our hospital,and the pharmacist should detect and intervene in time to ensure the safety and reasonableness of intravenous infusion for children.
