Evaluation on Improvement of Clinical Unreasonable Application of Antibi-otics in a Hospital from 2019 to 2022
OBJECTIVE To evaluated the improvement in the clinical irrational use of antimicrobial drugs,pro-viding a reference for improvement.METHODS There were 30 or 50 discharge medical records of antibiotics per month from 2019 to 2022 for review,the improved effectiveness of unreasonable applications would be ana-lyzed.RESULTS A total of 2180 medical records were sampled,containing 4955 antimicrobial medication orders,there were 464 unreasonable medical records,the pass rate was 78.72%.The top three types of irrational applications were prolonged use of drugs,administered>1 hour prior to skin incision and inappropriate choice of drugs.Inappropriate timing of perioperative drug administration,use of antimicrobials beyond grade haved been significantly improved,prolonged use of drugs,inappropriate choice of drugs,no indication of drug use should still be further im-proved.CONCLUSION The management of the clinical use of antimicrobial drugs should be analyzed and evalua-ted regularly,with timely intervention and continuous improvement.
