Intervention Effect Analysis of Clinical Application of Parecoxib Sodium for Injection in One Hospital
OBJECTIVE To explore the comprehensive intervention effect of multi-department joint supervision and management on the clinical use of parecoxib sodium for injection in our hospital,so as to promote clinical rational drug use.METHODS The pharmacy department, together with the medical department, the quality control depart-ment and other departments, formulated the evaluation standard of parecoxib sodium for injection in our hospital, and formed an intervention model combining administrative supervision and management with pharmaceutical interven-tion.A total of 127 medical records of inpatients who used parecoxib sodium for injection from January to October 2021(before the intervention)and from November 2021 to August 2022(after the intervention)were selected. The clinical use and rational drug use of parecoxib sodium for injection before and after intervention were retrospectively analyzed.RESULTS Before the intervention, the irrational rate of parecoxib sodium for injection was 70.00%,which was mainly manifested as unreasonable course of administration, unreasonable indications and contraindications for administration. After the intervention, the irrational rate of parecoxib sodium for injection was 29.85%,which was significantly decreased, mainly due to the unreasonable duration of administration, but the number of days of overdose medication was significantly decreased, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the inter-vention,the clinical use of parecoxib sodium for injection decreased significantly before the intervention, and the use in key departments also decreased significantly.CONCLUSION Multi-department joint intervention on the clinical use of parecoxib sodium for injection reduces the irrational rate of drug use and the clinical use of drugs. This inter-vention model can be extended and applied to the management of clinical use of other drugs.
