Practice of Clinical Pharmacists in Promoting the Rational Use of Surgical Antibiotics under the Antimicroboal Stewardship
OBJECTIVE To promote the rational use of antibiotics through real-time evaluation of their rational-ity in surgical inpatients under the antimicroboal stewardship.METHODS From December 2021 to May 2023,the clinical pharmacists used the Donghua system to retrieve the usage of antibiotics and conducted real-time evaluations of surgical inpatients who used antibiotics.Once issues were identified,they communicated with clinical doctors,and intervened the issues in a timely manner.RESULTS From December 2021 to May 2023,a total of 2597 inpatients from different departments were reviewed.Among them,190 cases were intervented by clinical pharmacists with an intervention rate of 7.32%,and 168 cases were adopted with an adoption rate of 88.42%(168/190).CONCLUSION Through real-time evaluation of inpatient medical orders by clinical pharmacists,it is possible to promptly identify the unreasonable use of antibiotics and provide feedback to the supervising doctor via phone,which is more conducive to promoting the rational use of antibiotics.
