OBJECTIVE To investigate the current status of KAP(Knowledge,Attitude,and Behavior)on medication risk in Shaoguan City,and analyze its main influencing factors,so as to provide a basis for the accurate setting of the popularization and education for safe medication use.METHODS 0n-site questionnaire was adopted to investigate the current KAP status of medication risk,and analyze its influencing factors using multiple linear re-gression.RESULTS The average scores of medication knowledge and medication behavior among residents were(44.64±13.35)and(55.17±12.33),respectively,both rated as"good".However,the average score of medica-tion education attitude was(32.59±6.93),rated as"pass".The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that age,monthly income,place of residence,and medical insurance status of residents are the main factors affecting medication knowledge.Gender,age,monthly income,and place of residence of residents are the main factors affecting medication behavior,while age and education level of residents are the main factors affecting medication education at-titudes.CONCLUSION The residents of Shaoguan City have good knowledge and behavior about medication,but their attitude towards medication education needs to be strengthened.The popularization and education of safe medi-cation use should be carried out aim at residents with different demographic characteristics.
