OBJECTIVE To explore and integrate ideological and political elements in the course of Microbiolo-gy and Immunology,cultivate high-quality medical talents with both ability and integrity,and implement the goal of ideological and political education.METHODS By identifying and summarizing the ideological and political ele-ments contained in the course of Microbiology and Immunology,and integrating these elements with the course content organically.RESULTS This teaching method has deepened students'sense of identity and pride in the medical cause of the motherland,enabled them to appreciate the profoundness and extensiveness of Chinese traditional cul-ture,cultivated their ethical morality and humanistic care literacy,shaped their rational critical thinking,honed their innovative spirit of seeking truth,strengthened teamwork,and laid a solid foundation for the future development of medicine and social progress.CONCLUSION Integrating ideological and political elements into the course of Mi-crobiology and Immunology can not only impart knowledge,but also conduct ideological and political education for students in a subtle way.This teaching method is conducive to cultivating high-quality medical talents with both abili-ty and integrity,and achieving the fundamental goal of fostering virtue through education.
