Establishment of a New Model for the Work of Chinese Medicine Clinical Pharmacists Based on the Research and Development of Chinese Medi-cine Hospital Preparations
OBJECTIVE To expound the work content of Chinese medicine clinical pharmacists participating in the research and development of Chinese medicine hospital preparations,and to explore a new mode of Chinese medi-cine clinical pharmacy.METHODS The development status and working mode of clinical pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine were briefly described.Combined with the practice of our hospital,the work content and character-istics of clinical pharmacists participating in the preparation of traditional Chinese medicine were expoun-ded.RESULTS Clinical pharmacists of traditional Chinese medicine could assist in clinical mining of prescriptions with development prospects by means of follow-up,data mining and literature review.Clinical Pharmacists demonstra-ted the prescription of traditional Chinese medicine hospital preparations to be developed,including naming,prescrip-tion source and tailoring basis,innovative formulation and dosage form,clear clinical positioning and safety.Based on the real world data of hospital HIS,the safety and efficacy evaluation and mechanism of action of hospital preparations of traditional Chinese medicine were studied,which laid a foundation for promoting the filing of hospital preparations and the secondary development of new drugs.CONCLUSION Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals at all levels have an urgent need for the development of hospital preparations of traditional Chinese medicine.It is necessary and feasible to establish a Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital preparation research and development team led by clini-cal pharmacists of traditional Chinese medicine and jointly participated by medicine,which is in line with the positio-ning of clinical pharmacists of traditional Chinese medicine to go deep into clinical practice and carry out characteris-tic Chinese pharmacy services.
