Discussion on the TCM Properties of α-glycosidase Inhibitors Based on the Theory of"Application of Western Medicine Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine"
"Application of Western Medicine Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Theory"is based on the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine,understanding and summarizing the traditional Chinese medi-cine attributes of Western medicine,studying and mastering various laws of"application of western medicine based on TCM theory",which helps to improve clinical level.Currently,there are few reports on the Four Qi and Five Taste of α-glycosidase inhibitors in the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine,which was commonly used clini-cal practice for hypoglycemic purposes.This article aims to analyze and discuss the Four Qi and Five Taste of α-gly-cosidase inhibitors in the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine,which combined with the indications and adverse reactions of α-glycosidase inhibitors,apply the theory of"Application of Western Medicine Based on Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine(TCM)"and use the theory of cereal essence transformations as described in Huangdi Nei-jing(Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic)as the breakthrough point.It was found that α-Glycosidase inhibitors have a cooling nature in traditional Chinese medicine,which belongs to the spleen,stomach,and small intestine meridi-ans.The five flavors are bitter and sweet,and have the effects of clearing heat,moistening dryness,strengthening the spleen,and nourishing yin.
