Rapid Health Technology Assessment of Compound Salvia Pellet in the Treatment of Angina Pectoris
OBJECTIVE To evaluate clinical effectiveness, safty and economy of Compound Salvia Pellet(CSP)for angina pectoris through rapid Health Technology Assessment(rHTA).METHODS PubMed,CochraneLibrary,Embase,WanFang,CNKI databases were systematically searched. Two reviewers independently selected literatures according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, date extraction, assessed the quality, and then comprehensively ana-lyzed the included studies.RESULTS A total of 7 systematic reviews/Meta-analyses and 6 pharmacoeconomic studies were included. For patients with stable angina pectoris,CSP alone or combined with nitrates has better efficacy than nitrates. In terms of safety,CSP alone are superior to nitrates.CSP has a cost-effective adcvantage compared with isosorbide dinitrate tablets. For patients with unstable angina pectoris,CSP combined with isosorbide mononitrate had equivalent safety and better efficacy compared with isosorbide mononitrate alone.Regardless of the effectiveness or safety, combined with CSP are superior to the conventional western medicine.CSP had equivalent efficacy and good e-conomics compared with Shexiang Baoxin pills.CONCLUSION When compared with nitrates/conventional west-ern medicine treatment for angina pectoris, single or co-using CSP offered better effectiveness,un-increased safety risk, with economic advantages. The economic researches should be further conducted combined current price stand-ards.
