Reasons and Corresponding Strategies of Drug Withdrawal in Outpatient and Emergency Pharmacy
OBJECTIVE To analyze the reasons of drug withdrawal in outpatient and emergency pharmacy of our hospital,and put forward corresponding strategies.METHODS A retrospective analysis method was used to se-lect 71 drug withdrawal prescriptions from the outpatient and emergency pharmacy of our hospital from January 1 to December 31,2023 as the research object,and the reasons for drug withdrawal were analyzed.RESULTS The total number of prescriptions in outpatient and emergency pharmacies in 2023 was 74245,of which 71 prescriptions were withdrawn,with a withdrawal rate of 0.096%.The main reasons for drug withdrawal were drug factors,medical fac-tors,and patients'own factors.Patients'own factors accounted for 52.11%of the total number of drug withdraw-al.The majority of patients with drug withdrawal were young and middle-aged people aged 19-59 years,accounting for 57.57%.Digestive system drugs were the most common drugs involved in drug withdrawal,accounting for 19.23%.The department of Burns accounted for the highest proportion of drug withdrawal departments,accounting for 23.94%.CONCLUSION There are many reasons leading to drug withdrawal in outpatient and emergency pharmacies.It is necessary to improve and optimize the hospital drug withdrawal system and process,strengthen doctor-patient commu-nication,and enhance patient compliance.At the same time,it is necessary to strengthen the coordination and commu-nication between various departments of the hospital,promote rational drug use,and reduce the withdrawal rate.
