Exploration of several issues in ultrasonic testing of butt weld of thin-walled aluminum alloy shell based on GIS
There was the controversy in the butt weld detection of GIS thin-walled aluminum alloy shell with A-type ultrasonic flaw detection technology.Based on the type of butt weld bead groove of shell and the characteristics of ultrasonic reflection wave, several common signal characteristics of defect reflection wave were given through theoretical analysis. It was found that the nature of the defect could be roughly determined by the depth and horizontal position of the reflected signal, and the groove type. The results showed that the common signal characteristics of GIS thin-walled aluminum alloy shell butt weld defects could effectively eliminate the interference of"false signals",and provided a theoretical basis for the development of relevant detection tests.
