Simulation of static recrystallization behavior of EH40 ship plate for high heat input welding
The main way to improve the performance of steel plate is to refine the grain through the recrystallization behavior of deformed austenite in the hot rolling production of extra thick plate. In order to explore the influence of rolling process on the static recrystallization of EH40 steel for large heat input welding,a two-dimensional finite element rolling model was established based on the finite element software ABAQUS.Based on the static recrystallization dynamics model, the VUSDFLD subroutine was developed using FORTRAN language, and the calculation of the static recrystallization percentage after rolling was realized. The influence of different rolling processes on the static recrystallization percentage was analyzed.Compared with the simulation calculation of grain nucleation, growth and microstructure evolution on the micro scale, this model realized the numerical simulation of the microstructure evolution process in the steel plate on the macro scale during the rolling process, which has a very large application value for the determination of relevant rolling parameters in actual industrial production.
