From Theoretical Intuition to Theoretical Construction
Theoretical intuition is a concept different from linguistic intuition and theory, but closely related to both of them, referring to the intuitive judgment or feeling of the conditions, reasons, rules and laws behind linguistic phenomena. In short,it is an intuitive perception of certain theoretical factors contained in verbal communication.Theoretical intuition, with its pre-theoretical characteristics such as intuitive inspiration, dependence on phenomenon and weak argumentation,is the intermediary from phenomenon to theory.Based on this, this paper summarizes the basic types and levels of theoretical intuition from the aspects of viewpoints, ideas and methods. It is found that the growth of the theoretical intuition follows a generative process from the latent to the manifest, and the basic path from theoretical intuition to theoretical construction can be examined from perspectives of ontology, methodology, system architecture and basic goals. The paper holds that because theoretical intuition is common in various research fields, researchers should strive to cultivate high level of it and enhance the ability of theoretical innovation.
