Constructional Properties of the Expressions of Listing in Mandarin Conversation
This paper expounds the constructional properties of the expressions of listing in Mandarin conversation.Firstly,the core meaning and the form of listing in conversation have a conventionalized pairing relationship and are shared group knowledge,which shows the essential property of constructions.Secondly,the sequential context commonly embedded in conversation is the external structure of listing,which matches the meaning of explaining or constructing the upper conceptual category expressed by listing,forming a double-layered interactional construction.Thirdly,the structural coupling relationship between listed items in conversation reveals the property of an ad hoc construction.
