There are a total of 17 dreams have been recorded in the Jin Ping Mei Ci Hua,which showing the characteristics of a large number and rich content.The dreams in the Jin Ping Mei Ci Hua influenced by primitive religion,Taoism,Buddhism and other thoughts,it shows the thoughts of soul worship,floating life like a dream,that shows cause and effect,and also the reincarnation.These dreams have a strong religious cultural implication,which sustenance the psychological and emotional motivation of the author's creation,show the author's worship for the mandate of heaven,ghosts and gods,and shows the author's religious concern for life and death.In the treatment of dreams,either the traditional dream for good luck or bad luck,or the use of Daomen incantation to rescind dreams,reflecting the Ming Dynasty folk custom and Daomen science.
