"神"在《文心雕龙》中出现次数颇多,刘勰"神"论上承老庄哲学的论"神"思想,受魏晋时期"形神之辨"风气的影响,刘勰赋予"神"系统深刻的内涵,拓展了"神"这一范畴的多义性、丰富性和深刻性,使"神"成为中国古典诗学一个重要的范畴.在文学产生阶段刘勰把超自然的"神灵"作为文学的描写对象,解释了作为文学规律的"神理";在文学的创作阶段刘勰剖析了"神与物游"的想象和"神用象通"的灵感,强调了人的精神在文学构思中的重要作用;在文学的接受层面刘勰提出凸显自然之妙的"神妙"和以情为本的"神理",深化了文学的审美意蕴.《文心雕龙》的"神"范畴对后世的文艺创作和文艺理论都产生了不可忽视的价值.
"God"appears quite often in The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons.Liu Xie inherited the thought of the"God"from Lao Zhuang philosophy.Influenced by the trend of"debate on the form of God"in Wei and Jin Dynasties,Liu Xie endowed"God"with profound connotation,expanded the ambiguity,richness and depth of this category,and made"God"an important category in Chinese classical poetics.In the stage of literature generation,Liu Xie took supernatural"gods"as the description object of literature,and explained the"divine principles"as the law of literature.In the literary creation stage,Liu Xie analyzed the imagination of"traveling with gods and things"and the inspiration of"using gods as images",and emphasized the important role of human spirit in literary conception.In the acceptance of literature,Liu Xie put forward the"divine beauty"that highlights the natural beauty,and the"divine principle",which is based on emotion,deepens the aesthetic meaning of literature.The"God"category of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons has produced a value that cannot be ignored for the later literary creation and literary theory.
