Explanation of Shuowen Zhuanzhu,written by Zeng Yunqian is a long article exploring the theory of"Zhuanzhu".The author believes that the category(类)of"Jianlei Yishou"(建类一首)is phonetic category,and"shou"(首)is radicals in Chinese characters.Based on this,"Zhuanzhu"is divided into two categories:Jianlei Jiaxing(建类加形)and Jianlei Jiasheng(建类加声),and his"Zhuanzhu"theory system was constructed.His research on transliteration followed the principle of unity of form,sound,and meaning,which has enlightened significance for today's research on Chinese language and philology.Zeng's research on transliteration has broken through the boundaries of philology and delved into fields such as word meaning and phonetic conversion,providing a new perspective for transliteration research and injecting new attributes into the theory of transliteration,which has important value in academic history.
