With the development of second language vocabulary acquisition,the second language mental lexicon has become a hot topic of research.Along with the deepening research on second language mental lexicon,the word association task,which was commonly used for monolingual acquisition,has also been used in the study of second language mental lexicon,and rich research results have been achieved in the organization model of second language mental lexicon.But there are still many problems in the representation structure of bilingual lexicon and the organization model of a second language that needs to be solved.Based on the previous research on mental lexicon,this paper compares the research on mental lexicon based on word association test in China in the past six years.The application of mental lexicon theory in the field of second language acquisition and the role of word association tests in exploring mental lexicon are discussed by previous synthesizing research,and to provide reference for international Chinese educational vocabulary teaching.
