A Study on Healing Street District Enhancement Design for Urban Public Spaces
With rapid urban development, there is a growing demand for public streetscape design, and improving urban streetscapes has become a key focus in contemporary city planning. As essential parts of public spaces, urban streetscapes serve not only as open areas for public interaction and recreation, but also as dynamic venues showcasing urban life.Consequently, the design of urban streetscapes should prioritize residents'physical and mental well-being,fostering a sense of happiness and community.Integrating health considerations with landscape design, streetscapes should incorporate therapeutic zones such as quiet relaxation areas, active stress-relief zones, and spaces for emotional interaction. These therapeutic landscapes play a crucial role in alleviating residents'sub-optimal health conditions.Design strategies should be informed by on-site surveys and questionnaires, with careful zoning and enhancements that appeal to all five senses. This approach aims to advance therapeutic streetscapes in urban areas and open new avenues for human-centered landscape design.
