With the development of UHV and EHV equipment and power transmission system,mineral oil has been widely used in the insulation of electrical equipment for its excellent dielectric properties,aging stability and safety performance.This paper simulates the propagation process of streamer discharge in oil,analyzes the results of variation of electric field intensity and space charge,then studies the simulation results of transformer discharge model under different applied voltage and different needle-ball spacing,compares the characteristics and development of the streamer discharge process under different conditions,and finally determines the influence of different factors on the formation and development of streamer discharge.
