The Limuling Copper-Molybdenum deposit from Qichun county in Hubei Province as a new founded medium Cu-Mo deposit ,has the characteristics of coexistence of the quartz vein type and the fracture zone altered rock type .The NNE faults as the main ore-controlling and bearing structures ,which suffered the older ductile shear deformation and the later brittle deformation ,play an important role in the spatial distribution ,formation and evolution of the mineralized vein body in the mining area .The S-C foliation and σrotational augens in the older ductile shear zones indicate the dextral strike-slip movement, moreover the molybdenum striations and steps in the main fault planes indicate the dextral thrust movement of the later brittle faults .In general ,this paper analyzes the controlling role of the NNE fault structures in the mineralized veins ’spatial distributions ,mineral local enrichments and mineralization type ’s distribution through the inves-tigations of the NNE fault structures ’formation, evolution and zonation .
