Geothermal anomalies are widely developed in Xianning area of Hubei Province, and multiple geothermal fields are produced.Five geothermal fields, including Wenquan,Langkou,Wangjiazhuang,Wuhongshan and Xiaoshewushan, were selected.Geothermal fluid samples were systematically collected and H,O and rare gas isotopes were tested to ana-lyze the isotopic characteristics and genetic mechanism of geothermal fluids in this area. The results show that in the vari-ous geothermal fluid samples, the 3He/4He ratio is 0.70 × 10-7 to 2.52 × 10-7,20Ne/222Ne ratio is 10.15 to 10.40,21 Ne/22 Ne ratio is 0.029 6 to 0.030 8,36 Ar/38 Ar ratio is 4.98 to 5.29,40 Ar/36 Ar ratio is 301.7 to 357.2,which indi-cates that He,Ne and Ar in geothermal fluid are the mixture of atmospheric source and crustal source, and the atmospher-ic source is the main source. The δ2H values are-59.29%o to-44.47%o,the δ18O values are-9.29%o to-7.08%o,and the 3 H content is less than 3.2 TU,it indicates that the geothermal fluids are mainly derived from the recharge of at-mospheric precipitation,it is possible to include groundwater recharged before the nuclear explosion and newly recharged groundwater. The comprehensive analysis shows that the recharge area of Wangjiazhuang geothermal field is Mufushan ar-ea,and the recharge area of other geothermal fields is Damushan area. The sealing of the geothermal system in the area is low, which is consistent with the characteristics that the output of the geothermal field in the area is controlled by regional faults.
