Application of S-A multifractal method in Au geochemical anomaly identification:A case study of middle-north Ethiopia
The study of fractal/multifractal model of geochemical data is a hot research field of applied geochemistry.The energy spectrum-area(S-A)multifractal model is selected to identify Au geochemical anomalies in the north-central region of Ethiopia.The results show that S-A multifractal model can effectively decompose the complex geochemical field,highlight local ore-induced anomalies,and identify multiple favorable gold anomaly areas in the periphery of known key gold concentration areas,effectively improving the recognition of ore-induced anomalies.Therefore,the S-A multifractal model can be used to accurately identify potential ore-induced anomalies in practical work,providing an effective geo-chemical basis for further gold exploration.
