Geological, geochemical characteristics and genesis of Longtan antimony deposit in Changyang anticline, western Hubei Province
Longtan antimony deposit has been found in Changyang anticline area of western Hubei Province in recently, and it is an important prospecting progress.Based on the field geological survey of Longtan antimony deposit, ore samples were collected to study fluid inclusions and stable isotopes, and the metallogenic geological characteristics and genesis of the deposit were discussed. The research shows that the ore bodies of Longtan antimony deposit are veined and lenticular in the carbonate rocks in the middle to upper part of Baimatuo Section of Sinian Dengying Formation, and are controlled by the interlayer detachment structure and tensile fracture in the core of Changyang anticline. The ore minerals are mainly stibnite, and the hydrothermal mineralization period is divided into quartz-pyrite stage and stibnite-carbonate stage. The study of fluid inclusions shows that the ore-forming fluid is a medium-low temperature(129-172℃)and medium salinity(3.1%-14.8%NaCl equiv)H2 O-NaCl system. The stable isotope study shows that δDH2O of quartz in the ores is-91.6‰ to-71.3‰,and δ18 OH2O is 4.4‰ to 6.6‰;δ13CPDB of calcite and ankerite in the ores is-3.89‰ to-2.92‰,and 818OSMOW is 14.19‰ to 19.31‰;δ34S of sulfides such as stibnite in the ores is 16.4‰ to 24.9‰,those indicate that the ore-forming fluid is mainly derived from the construction of hot brine, and the ore-forming materials are mainly derived from the sedimentary formation.Comprehensive analysis shows that Longtan antimony deposit is a medium-low temperature hydrothermal type genesis.
