Characteristics of Cambrian karst thermal reservoir and genesis of geothermal fluid in the southeast wing of Xianfeng anticline,southwestern Hubei Province
Recently,the geothermal resources of the Cambrian Loushanguan Formation were explored in the southeast wing of the Xianfeng anticline through the implementation of the Well LR1 drilling project.The self-inflow of the well ex-ceeded 3 000 m3/d,and the wellhead water temperature was 46.3℃.In order to understand the characteristics of karst thermal reservoir and the genesis of geothermal fluid in Loushanguan Formation in the southeast wing of Xianfeng anti-cline,the controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric sounding,hydrochemistry and H-O isotope of geothermal fluid were studied,and the hydrochemical characteristics,thermal reservoir temperature and circulation depth,recharge area and runoff path of geothermal fluid were analyzed.The research shows that the karst thermal reservoir in this area has the characteristics of banded thermal reservoir and layered thermal reservoir,mainly banded thermal reservoir.Geothermal flu-id mainly occurs in the carbonate rock salt of Loushanguan Formation,and flows along the interlayer cracks,structural cracks and fracture zones in the thermal reservoir.The geothermal fluid types are SO4·HCO3-Ca·Mg type and SO4-Ca·Mg type.The geothermal reservoir temperature is 57.4 to 62.7℃,and the circulation depth is 2.1 to 2.4 km.The recharge area is mainly the carbonate outcrop area of Cambrian Loushanguan Formation in the southeast wing of Xianfeng anticline.The research results can provide reference for the exploration and development of regional geothermal resources.
