The soil hardening model parameters such as tangent modulus Eret oed,secant modulus Eref50,unloading modulus Eref ur,cohesion c',internal friction angle ψ'and failure rate(damage ratio)Rf obtained from the experimental study in Wuhan were substituted into the refined MMC finite element model established based on a typical foundation pit support engineering case.The simulation results were systematically compared with the monitoring results,and the double corre-spondence between the extreme value of simulation calculation,the extreme value of monitoring,the location of monitoring points and the location of simulation nodes was comprehensively considered.The rationality and applicability of applying the test parameters directly to the actual engineering modeling analysis are preliminarily explored.In general,the simula-tion calculation results are in line with the general law,which is consistent with the trend of field monitoring results to a certain extent.From the numerical point of view,the extreme value of the global simulation calculation is greater than the overall monitoring extreme value of the site.The simulated extreme values of the settlement of the surrounding road,the settlement of the surrounding buildings,the horizontal displacement of the top of the retaining structure,and the deep hor-izontal displacement of the retaining structure are about 1.06,1.84,1.84,1.73 times of the monitoring extreme value,re-spectively.From the position point of view,there are different degrees of corresponding differences between the simulated calculation extreme value and the position of the monitoring extreme value of the above four monitoring items.Therefore,a reverse double comparison is made for"simulated calculation extreme values/monitoring extreme values at the same lo-cation"and"monitoring extreme values/monitoring extreme values at the same location".The multiple relationships of the four monitoring items are 1.07/2.52/2.14/2.1,1.06/1.09/2.12/1.18,respectively.In addition,there are certain differences between the simulated values of deep horizontal displacement of the enclosure structure and the monitoring re-sults.Overall,the parameters of the soil hardening model test in Wuhan area need to be applied and verified with more engineering examples.Based on sufficient verification,the next step of inversion verification analysis should be carried out,and finally scientific guidance parameters for Wuhan area should be provided.
