Lake Tolakule in Yiwu County,Xinjiang has shown a trend of ecological function degradation in recent years, and it is urgent to carry out ecological geological vulnerability evaluation.Based on the analytic hierarchy process, nine e-valuation indexes including groundwater depth, groundwater quality, lithology of aerated zone, soil moisture content,salin-ization degree, atmospheric precipitation, humidity, normalized difference vegetation index and landform type were select-ed to evaluate the ecological geological vulnerability of Lake Tolakule, and put forward reasonable measures for lake eco-logical environment protection. The results show that the areas with higher vulnerability and high vulnerability are mainly distributed in the ring area around the Lake Tolakule, accounting for 34.96%of the total area of the study area. The main factors are heavy soil salinization, poor groundwater quality and low vegetation coverage. The medium vulnerability area is mainly distributed in the piedmont flood gravel plain and the swamp wet area around the Lake Tolakule, accounting for 52.60%of the total area of the study area, and all elements are relatively balanced. The areas of low vulnerability and lower vulnerability are mainly distributed in the west of the piedmont flood plain and the strip area in the southeast of the Lake Tolakule, accounting for 12.44%of the total area of the study area. The main factors are high vegetation coverage, high water content and high humidity. It is suggested to gradually carry out relevant work to restore the waters on the west side of Lake Tolakule, improve the landform and microcirculation conditions, and provide a good ecological environment for the later tourism development and economic construction of Lake Tolakule.
