In the concentrated areas of mining activities,rich mining resources support economic development and bring a series of environmental problems.Taking Gansu Province as the research area,six evaluation indexes including elevation,slope,water environment,vegetation coverage,population spatial distribution and land use type were selected to evaluate the sensitivity of ecological environment.Quantitative indicators such as water retention function,soil and water conserva-tion function,sand prevention and fixation function and biodiversity protection function were used to assess the importance of ecosystem service functions.Combined with the evaluation results of ecological environment sensitivity and ecosystem service importance,the spatial distribution of ecological conservation importance in the study area was obtained through the spatial superposition method and subwatershed analysis.The ecological protection and restoration zoning of the study area was completed based on comprehensive land use types,major ecological environment problems,and specific develop-ment requirements for the study area in Gansu Province's urban planning.The results show that the ecological environ-mental sensitivity in the study area is high in the southeast and low in the northwest.The importance of ecosystem service function is higher in the southeast and lower in the northwest.The core ecological restoration area is Longnan City,ac-counting for 6.54%of the total area.The strict ecological protection area is Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecure,ac-counting for 8.61%of the total area.The ecological optimization coordination areas are Dingxi City,Lanzhou City,Qingy-ang City,Tianshui City,Pingliang City,and Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture,accounting for 21.92%of the total area.The ecological landscape optimization coordination areas are Zhangye City,Jinchang City,Wuwei City,and Baiyin City,accounting for 23.23%of the total area.Key ecological control areas are Jiuquan City and Jiayuguan City,accounting for 39.70%of the total area.
