How to Have a Correct Understanding of Worldview Based on Philosophy of Mind
Worldview does not merely refer to fundamental views or perspectives about the world, but encompasses a comprehensive and integrated set of ideas concerning the world as a whole. These ideas are either spontaneously formed or consciously constructed based on foundational views or perspectives about the world.A worldview faces the issue of truthfulness;only a worldview that aligns with its object of reference and benefits both oneself and others can be considered a true and correct worldview. From a historical perspective, four major types of influential worldviews have emerged:the common-sense worldview held by the general populace, the religious worldview embraced by adherents of religious organizations, the scientific worldview accepted by most individuals, and the philosophical worldview endorsed by some.Regarding the choice of worldviews, the religious worldview is fundamentally flawed, the scientific worldview remains incomplete, and only philosophical ontology can provide a correct worldview. However, there are significant variations in the accuracy of philosophical worldviews. The mission of philosophers is to offer humanity a true and correct worldview grounded in the ontology of truth.
