Elements of the Maritime Law of Rule of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law
Maritime rule of law in the new era is a significant way for China to realize its strategy of becoming a maritime power and participate in global maritime governance,which is embedded in Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law.The two are integrated and jointly exert influence.Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law plays a major role in guiding the construction of maritime rule of law in both theory and practice.Under the great changes in a century,maritime rule of law has the functions of fully safeguarding national maritime rights and interests,promoting maritime development and prosperity,and realizing a great innovation in the concept of global maritime governance.As the theoretical source,Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law is to ensure the advancement of maritime rule of law in the new era and the path to strengthen the marine rule of law in the new stage of Chinese-style modernization,which can be conducted progressively in the following levels.Firstly,it is necessary to improve the maritime legal system and coordinate domestic and foreign-related maritime legal regulations.Secondly,China consistently adhere to the construction of global maritime order basing on international maritime rule of law by participating in the formulation of the regulations concerning global maritime governance actively.Finally,it will achieve the better governance of global maritime under the guidance of marine community with a shared future to make greater contribution to oceanic development of all humankind.
