The gambling industry has always been a significant issue of concern to Southe-astern Asian countries and regions,especially in recent years,some Southeastern Asian countries have announced the legalisation of gambling industry or relaxed their crackdown on opening cas-inos and participating in gambling activities,which has caused widespread discussions in the in-ternational society.Comparative research on the degree of openness,regulatory characteristics,and governance dilemma of combating cross-border online gambling in Southeastern Asian countries,it can help improve relevant legislation in China,and promote innovation in policing cooperation mechanisms between China and Southeastern Asian countries,in order to provide reference for combating cross-border gambling crimes,and maintaining national economic saf-ety and social stability.
