慈悲融会:大慈阁定名年代及其缘由考辨

摘要
大慈阁,原名大悲阁,亦称真觉禅寺,始建于 1227-1232 年之间.位列上谷八景之首,被冠以"市阁凌霄"的美誉.现今地方志书中对大悲阁更名大慈阁的具体年代往往语焉不详,通过对阁内四方碑刻及文献资料的整理爬梳,易名的年代应在 1792-1811 年之间.时值乾嘉盛世,国家承平日久,鲜有战乱.且"大慈大悲"本为一体,融会贯通.虽仅易一字,于斯时之社会中甚为妥帖自然.
Abstract
Daci Pavilion,formerly known as Dabei Pavil-ion,also known as Zhenjue Temple,was built between 1227 and 1232.It ranks first among the eight scenic spots in Shanggu and is known as the"City Pavilion soaring to the sky".In modern local chronicles,the specific time of the name change of Daci Pavilion to Dabei Pavilion is often vague.Through the collation and analysis of the inscriptions on the four sides of the pavilion and the literature materials,the time of the name change should be between 1792 and 1811.During the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods,the country enjoyed a long period of peace and stability,with few wars.And"great compassion and great mercy"are originally one and the same,which are well integrated.Although only one word is changed,it is very appropriate and natural in the so-ciety at that time.
