Data Real-time Monitoring System Based on Optical Fiber Transmission
To solve reliable collection and transmission of real-time status data in complex environment, a data real-time monitoring system using optical fiber as the medium and LVDS as data transmission standard is proposed. FPGA is selected as the logic control center of the system, and some key issues about LVDS transmission and data collection are mainly illustrated. Through enhancing signal driving capability by the cooperation of the driver and the equalizer, analyzing impedance matching to extend data transmission distance, and sending invalid data and the flag bit, the system ensures continuous high-speed LVDS communication after power-on. The factors affecting data acquisition accuracy are analyzed in detail, which include the dithering phenomenon caused by analog switching and the logic errors caused by ground bounce. Experimental results show that the system is effective.
