Synthesis and Surface Activity of Novel Triazinyl Gemini Surfactants
Melamine,dodecylamine,ethylenediamine,1,4-butylenediamine,1,6-hexamediamine,N,N-dimethyl-1,3-propylenethane were used as raw materials.Three kinds of triazinyl Gemini surfactants C12-m-C12(m=2,4,6)were synthesized(m=2,4,6).The structures were characterized by FT-IR,1H NMR and ESI-MS.The surface activity of the different linked methyl-triazinyl Gemini surfactants was determined by surface tension method,steady-state fluorescence method and dynamic light scattering method. The results of surface tension test show that the critical micelle concentration(CMC)of C12-m-C12 increases from 0.013 mmol/L to 0.050 mmol/L as the number of connected methylenes increases from 2 to 6.Through dynamic light scattering method,it is concluded that the particle size of C12-m-C12 increases with the increase of bonding group length. It can be seen from the results of steady state fluores-cence method that the surfactant is more likely to form larger micelles with the increase of the length of the linking group. The critical micelle aggregation numbers of C12-2-C12,C12-4-C12 and C12-6-C12 in aque-ous solution are 105,76 and 68,respectively.
