Study on the treatment of COD and chroma of laver processing wastewater by UV/Fenton/homogeneous Copper Fenton-like oxidation
The removal efficency of COD and chroma in wastewater produced during laver processing by homogeneous Fenton,Cu-Fenton,UV/Fenton,UV/Cu-Fenton system under different initial pH value,Fe2+ and Cu2+ dosage, and H2O2 dosage were investigated at room temperature. The optimal reaction conditions were determined by orthogonal test, and the reaction mechanism was analyzed, that hydroxyl radical(·OH)was the main active group.Under the optimal reaction conditions, the effluent COD of UV/Fenton system was 40 mg/L and the chroma was 25 at 100 min, which was 50 min-utes shorter than the optimal reaction time without UV.In the UV/Cu-Fenton system, the effluent COD was 35 mg/L and the chroma was 20 at 60 minutes, which is half shorter than the optimal reaction time without UV.Both the effluent COD and chroma of the UV/Cu-Fenton system and the UV/Cu-Fenton system can meet the discharge standards.
