Study on characteristics of biogas porous medium combustion heat exchanger
To promote the practical application of biogas and solve the adaptability of the burner to the change of biogas calorific value.A porous medium combustion heat exchanger based on biogas is designed.The combustion chamber wall temperature distribution,thermal efficiency and pollutant emission of porous medium combustion heat exchanger were studied under different firing rate.In addition,there are these characteristics under different calorific values and water quantity.The results show that when the methane content in biogas is 50%-70%,it can be burned stably in the combus-tion heat exchanger.The transverse temperature change of the combustion chamber wall is within 75℃.When the calo-rific value changes instantaneously,the combustion heat exchanger can still maintain stable combustion.The outlet water temperature lags slightly behind the response speed of the highest temperature on the combustion chamber wall.The combustion heat exchanger has good heat exchange capacity.Thermal efficiency decreases while increasing the firing rate and increases while increasing the gas calorific value and water quantity.Both the heat transfer coefficient of the tail heat exchanger and the heat transfer coefficient of the combustion chamber increase while increasing the firing rate.NOx emissions decrease while decreasing the combustion chamber wall temperature,and the highest is 27 mg/m3.The maxi-mum CO emissions are 151 mg/m3.
