Heat transfer characterzistics of droplet offset impact on curved surface
Aiming at addressing the relatively limited research on the offset impact of multiple droplets on the curved surface,this paper compares and analyzes the droplet dynamics and heat transfer characteristics of vertical and offset impacts of single and double droplets using a three-dimensional transient numerical simulation method,and the in-fluence of different arrangements of double droplets on the impact surfaces is also investigated.The results show that the offset impact leads to liquid film accumulation on the offset side,the vertical impact promotes the uniform spreading of the liquid film on both sides of the curved surface,and the peak heat flux of single droplet vertical impact is 18.9%higher than that of offset impact.The spreading of the double droplets in the axial arrangement is more uniform,and its dimensionless spreading area and heat flux are up to 0.7 and 11.7 W higher than those of the circumferential arrange-ment,respectively.The offset has a greater impact on the heat transfer coefficient,while the droplet arrangement has a smaller effect.The peak values of the dimensionless spreading area and heat flux of the droplets do not reach simultane-ously,and increasing number of droplets slows the spreading rate of the liquid film,exacerbating the lag of the peak spreading area.
