Design of automobile LED headlamp driver based on improved sliding mode control strategy
In order to realize the stepless adjustment of the high and low beam illumination and color temperature of automobile LED headlamps,a new LED headlamp driver design scheme based on an enhanced sliding mode control strategy was proposed. The main circuit topology adopt a four-channel independent Boost converter to control the low beam warm light, low beam cold light, high beam warm light and high beam cold light, respectively.A mathematical model of the circuit topology was constructed, and a new composite sliding mode control strategy was proposed. On this basis, the software and hardware designs were carried out,and a 36 W test prototype was developed to verify the control strategy through experiments. The results show that the LED headlamp driver based on the proposed composite sliding mode control strategy of the new reference duty cycle modulation can adjust the illumination and color temperature of the LED headlamp by setting the reference current value and the color temperature given coefficient, respectively. The output voltage ripple of the low beam cold and warm LED is about 1 V,and the response time is only about 0.1 s.The system has stable output, fast response speed and smooth switching. The research results can provide reference for the automation design of automobile LED headlamp.
